Wagon Wheels

Have ya' ever noticed how a wagon wheel
Seems ta weather very well--even if
It's been broke apart in a place or two?
Don't seem to matter if'n it's made
Of iron or wood,
It lasts through years of snow and cold
And that wheel'd tell a story
If it could.

The wheel's a symbol of times gone and
All but forgotten,
Ya might say it "rolled with the punches"
Now it stops to rest a bit, to reflect the
Risin sun
It no longer needs to turn
Its hardest times are done.

And the wheel could last another lifetime
With a little care and some respect
It's still a sturdy frame
Fit fer all the trails ahead.
